Abstract Submission
Welcome to the Abstract Submission Page for the 46th International Symposium on POPs and Related Pollutants & BFR 2026.Please carefully read and follow the guidelines below when preparing and submitting your abstract.
Key dates and deadlines
- Abstract review process opens: Monday 23.03.2026
- Abstract submission deadline: Friday 24.04.2026
- Notification of acceptance to submitters: Beginning of June 2026
- Registration deadline for accepted presenters: Tuesday 30.06.2026
- Early Bird registration deadline: Tuesday 30.06.2026
- DIOXIN 2026 and BFR 2026 dates: Sunday 13.09.2026 to Friday 18.09.2026
Overall Formatting
- Abstracts must be written using single spacing or 10pt paragraphs, leftaligned (paragraph format “Normal”).
- Do not use a twocolumn layout.
- The abstract must not exceed one page. (The one-page summary format will apply for the 2026 edition; there will no longer be a 4–6-page format).
- All text must be written in Times New Roman, font size 10.
- Italics should be used for Latin names only.
- If certain sections are not relevant to the abstract topic (e.g. regulation, policy, risk assessment), they may be omitted or replaced with more appropriate sections.
Title of the Paper
- Centered, font size 12 pt, bold.
- Must not exceed 200 characters.
- Use sentence case (do not use all capital letters).
- The title should be concise and clearly reflect the content of the presentation.
- Avoid abbreviations unless they are well established.
- Do not use trade names.
- Avoid exaggerated or promotional terms such as “global”, “full”, “first”, or similar expressions.
- The summary cannot be commercial in nature (lunch seminars are dedicated to commercial presentations).
Authors
- Please list all authors and clearly indicate the presenting author in the submission form.
